Dubai, Fri. 09/04/04 Dubai Municipality, SmartSquare & Tanmia agree on GIS training for Nationals

In line with its commitment to the development of work performance in the country, Dubai Municipality, as per its agreement with SmartSquare and effective participation of the national human resources development and employment authority (Tanmia), will conduct a training program on Geographical Information System (GIS) for 20 selected UAE national fresh graduates.
Tarek Niazi, Executive Director of SmartSquare, said that SmartSquare has studied the general requirements as outlined in its agreement with the civic body, along with the amount of services and cooperation provided by Tanmia. He added that since the project will qualify the national cadre to join the municipality, it should bring in quick economic returns to the society. An outcome of the memorandum of understanding signed between SmartSquare and the municipality in March 2004 and with Tanmia in Jun, the project is considered one of the most well studied projects to meet the requirements of the community in Dubai
