Another example of best practices at GIS Center has been done for the Parking Authority administrators at RTA to help them view interactive maps displaying the locations of the parking ticket stations, which are symbolized to show their current status. GIS Center created a web browser linked to the parking database, “Interactive Maps showing status of Parking Ticket Stations”, to help administrators at the Authority immediately determine the exact status of any parking ticket station, thus it helps reduce cost and effort of actual site visits for maintenance/repair.
