Raster and Surface updates and manipulations

Introduction

Digital Ortho & Lidar data project is initiated to characterize the rapid changes that took part on Dubai land, and present it to developers, planners and decision makers in a form of very high resolution ortho rectified images, as much as very accurate surface images or data “10 cm Resolution”.

The products of this project shall be enriching the value of the current spatial information database which is available within the domain of GIS Center and serving all of Dubai and the emirates with spatial knowledge. Triangulating, adjusting and creating mosaics as much as stereo models the project shall provide the foundation to create other projects for precise vector feature collection.

This idea is currently been studied for getting the most out of  the stereo models for updating all the existing features of Dubai through “Photogrammetric Vector Feature Update project 2008”.    

The products shall be available for Dubai Municipality departments, for other government departments, and the private sector during 2008 and it helps crating the visual foundation for planning, and further data and information collection.
