Introduction:

Construction Management is an online service that will help better monitor the status of construction projects. It will work as a linkage between Dubai Municipality departments, contractors and consultants.

A step towards applying more electronic dealings to government work and help improve the decision making process and another example for using GIS to reduce cost and effort of visiting fields and sites.  The project forms an integration of GIS data and services to support the work of consultants and constructers –private sector - that work on DM construction projects. This integration creates a simulation for the progress of the construction.

The maps and data are published online, allowing all parties, including engineers and those who monitor the work, to virtually visit the construction site and identify the construction progress of projects.

This free service is meant to be established at the first quarter of 2008.  More information will be published on this page explaining how to request for this service. This interactive system is going to be administered through a website in order to submit and retrieve correspondences and to view the status of the projects, update GIS data and work online to upload projects vector data and schedule files.
